Restaurant Mirazur is located on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea in the town of Menton, France.  According to one survey, Restaurant Mirazur was rated 4th best restaurant in the world!!!  Quite an accolade, huh?  Is such a rating deserved?  Frankly, I don’t like rating restaurants anymore than I like rating art or music or literature or in fact, any art form.  Certainly there is a difference between a place like Mirazur and one of the local moules and frites places here in Menton.  I will say that the quality of ingredients locally sourced, the inventiveness of the preparations, the artistry of the presentations, the variety of flavors in the food and of course the marriage of the wine pairings with each course and finally the décor and location of the restaurant as well as the warmth of the service were all top notch.  Fourth best in the world??  I am not sure but my friend and tour guide Patrick Rossi and I had a truly memorable lunch together.  It is not the kind of restaurant that one frequents but for a special treat, I recommend it without reservation.  I will include photos of several of the dishes we had yesterday so you will get an idea of what we enjoyed.
