Monday was the last day of my two-week stay in an Airbnb right in the centro district of downtown San Miguel de Allende and I thought I would share some of the beautiful cityscapes that I was able to capture from my terrace. My new residence is at the periphery of the city and will not have such a commanding view over the city. I include some scenes in the huge artisanal market where one can buy just about everything from food and food items to clothing, furniture, ceramics, flowers, hats, jewelry etc. The church of San Francisco is directly in my line of vision from the upper balcony of my Airbnb and I have included two photos, one with a wide cityscape view and one more close up. My favorite thing was to watch the steeple of the Parroquia at night as the sun set and the sky took on all sorts of beautiful colors, especially when there were a few clouds to diffuse the light and interrupt the otherwise clear blue skies. One of the wonderful aspects of San Miguel is the colors everywhere-especially the multicolored houses, the art of all kinds which is everywhere, the overwhelming abundance of colorful wares and of course, the colors of the sky at sunset. I hope you enjoy the colors as much as I do.
