I apologize for the lag between my last post from France and my first post from London, where I have been since Thursday early evening. I am at a lovely Airbnb on Whitecross Street just a 5 minute walk from the Barbican Center, the venue for the three Shakespeare plays which were and are, the whole purpose of this trip to Europe. My apartment is the penthouse on the fourth floor, up 62 steep, winding stairs. The place is modern, spacious and well appointed but I have to say that the view from the penthouse is rather disappointing, as I will demonstrate with a few attached photos. The neighborhood where my appointment is located is the Borough of Islington but locals refer to it as Shoreditch. It is a neighborhood of apartment complexes of varying sizes and many locally owned shops of every description. It is a real pleasure to interact with local shop and restaurant owners who seem to be very well disposed to give friendly and appropriate service. I had a rip today in the seam of a sweater I just bough a couple of weeks ago and when I took it to “Snow White” cleaners, just across the street, the owner told me he would have it fixed in 3 days time! I was amazed. I am sure in the US this would have taken weeks to mend. Settling in to a new apartment and a new neighborhood takes me a while and that mostly accounts for my tardiness with my blog posts. I am pretty well settled in now and as the weather prediction if for partly cloudy weather tomorrow, I am going to take my camera and try to get some new photos to post to stock. I now have 231 images on Adobe Stock and I have made the astounding sum of 8 sales with a net income ( not to be paid out until the total reaches $50) of $5.35!!! I have heard a photographer’s joke something to the effect of: How do you make money in photography? Answer: sell your camera!!!
